It's ridiculous that TV companies are getting away with all these phone in scams. The BBC admit that they didn't pass on money which they had received from charity phone ins. That's disgrace! We hear now that Ant and Dec weren't actually the winners in a phone in poll on TV. That's a disgrace. Surely that is illegal as it is obtaining money through deceit. Why aren't the Police investigating these scams. In 2007 the Deloitte Review found around 10 million calls were affected by the premium-rate blunders and a total of 8.57 million callers are now eligible for refunds.

Now this - An Ofcom investigation is now under way into the scam, published separately from the offence's which led to a record £5.6 million fine slapped on ITV. The broadcaster will not face further financial punishment for the Comedy Awards debacle.

Never mind what Ofcam say, surely it's the Police that should be investigating. Is it not somewhat fraudulent to take someone's money under false pretence? When the companies are found out, they then announce they'll pay back the money and no heads will roll. (Ever tried claiming back!? You can't if you're PAYG ) We are talking millions of pounds. It's a National Disgrace!
